And although we have built cities

(poem 15 of 32)

And although we have built cities, our psyche is imprisoned in a cage of ropes
We have built cities and fantasies, yet deepened our grasp in the cage
"Ropes of light around our now bent body"
We shall bind around our back, tame ourselves to the authority
Of reason, discipline, work and commitment
Establish peace in particular zones of our lives
Expel real and unreal monsters
Protect our territory, the parcel of home
I sleep in my quiet hermitage and write a poem while dreaming
